As we head toward this years’ upcoming Record Store Day, the last releases from various record labels filter in while music lovers and record collectors everywhere compulsively scour the lists of albums to be released on April 19th. As usual, there will be lots to get excited about. Releases from Parquet Courts, The Orwells, Conor Oberst, Chad vanGaalen, Of Montreal, The Julie Ruin, Quantic, Mel, Xiu Xiu, David Lynch are sure to make their presence known. Plus, rare and special releases from artists such as Shampoo Boy, Moses Sumney, Creepoid and The Thing will make their way into circulation. In addition, we’ll also see some re-leases from favorites like Joy Division, Sun Ra, Half Japanese, The Ramones, The Velvet Underground, Nirvana, The The and David Bowie.
