This Friday at WestGermany, PuschenByteFM and Berlin Music TV will be presenting a triple bill for us to begin our weekend, featuring Better Person, Jack Chosef and Jimmy Whispers.

First off we’ll have Better Person, known to some as Adam Byczkowski, playing some mp3s – who recently finished a tour with Sean Nicholas Savage and is currently making the rounds in Europe promoting his upcoming album release in February.

Following that, Jack Chosef will share play tracks from his brand new EP Water & Fear, which is said to be ‘influenced by the panorama function of my smartphone, motorbikes & landscapes.’  How modern. You might say that Jack’s music is sort like a chopped salad – lots going on and pretty satisfying.

Finally, the infamous Jimmy Whispers will be in tow. Previously known as  James Cicero – the vocalist and frontman for Chicago-based Light Pollution – Jimmy now does his own thing, and he does it well. After opening a few times for Ariel Pink, he  went on to release Summer In Pain, receiving attention by everyone from Pitchfork to Spin. A notoriously interesting live-act, Jimmy is known to perform in sultry dresses while thrashing around the stage, singing to a tape of himself playing various instruments. Crowd-surfing and sing-alongs seem to be somewhat of a pattern for him, so we guess you could think of him as a John Maus -Conor Oberst – Mac DeMarco hybrid, but slightly more unruly. Regardless of comparisons, this will be a great show. Jimmy’s music has an bluntly honest and sincere vibe, something that many attempt to capture and don’t manage to succeed in doing.
