On Saturday night, follow the music outside at Kultstätte Keller’s garden opening. Starting at 20:00 there will be grilling, wine, and live performances to kickstart spring and an outdoor series. There is no better way to soak in the beautiful weather than enjoying an outdoor evening.

The jazz trio, Buba Wii Aa, will start things off in the garden. The funk jazz and experimental sound makes its way from Finland, bringing a unique flavor to Berlin. The group will have a gig earlier in the day at the XJazz fest, and we’re looking forward to hearing them perform.

And because outdoor tunes go hand and hand with grilling, Kranich Kantine will be providing the eats. They’re the culinary artists from Klunkerkranich. We will be  expecting all tasty offerings from their appetizing, crafted menu.

Around 22:30 two more global musicians will switch up the sound. Lithuanian artist Kotori will be performing first. She emulates a dash of Björk, but being a bit more continuous and relaxed. Following her performance is Emperor X. This super speed minimalistic drummer hails from Florida and plays what he coins as Speed Folk.

Finally, Jazz Open Air Berlin presents a vinyl session. They’re inviting participants to bring their own records. Email: vinylsession@gmx.de if you want to inquire about playing your music! Jazz Open Air presents events like these every Saturday at Kultstätte Keller so if you miss tomorrow, there’ll be more chances to hear some open air music. If you’re making it tonight at 20:00, RSVP here.
