Spanish duo Mourn continues to impress us with their live performance and Ramones tributes with Patti Smith inspired vocals. The voice of Mourn’s lead singer echoes and wails with an effortless strength that captures the precise energy that one wants to experience during a live performance. The classic underdogs that elicit committed fellowship, like Lindsay Weir escaping from academic summit, Mourn keep us rooting for their intrigue and rebellion. Listening to Jazz Rodríguez Bueno’s voice, one is immediately transported back to the mid 70’s with the turn of punk rock into the mainstream.  Mourn played at Sunrise club Berlin over the weekend and those of you who caught it were among many to experience a dynamic show.
You can get their recently released first album MOURN via  Captured Tracks, Flying Nun Records and Tugboat Records.
