If you haven’t seen it already, the first ever David Bowie retrospective ‘David Bowie Is’ opened yesterday in the Martin-Gropius-Bau gallery in in Berlin. The show is a retrospective of the career, philosophy, and art of David Bowie. In one interview, featured in the exhibition Bowie discloses that Ziggy Stardust never felt like a Rock Star and talks about his experiences working with Lou Reed and Iggy Pop. Curated by the Victoria and Albert Museum, this multimedia exhibition is acutely designed to transport audiences through an audio-visual rabbit hole spanning five decades of Bowie and sharing intimate details and trivia on Bowie’s life and creative career. The Berlin exhibition will be the highlight of the tour because of Bowie’s passionate relationship with the city, and its unique history, including an opportunity to go back in time to West Berlin in the 1970s.
